So many of us have had issue with delivery, here we will report all the different issues and results that we have experienced thus far. Ninth Isle promises to prepare your package and deliver to the postal carriers within 1 to 2 business days. We rely on USPS to make fast deliveries, which in most cases is very fast. Within Hawaii, our packages will be delivered to customers within 24 hours. Outside of Hawaii within the US will be between 2-5 days delivery time. But, we have some delivery exceptions to talk about here!
TLDR: Key takeaway is that delays are to be expected, mistakes will be made, but with time and with good neighbors, the package gets delivered eventually.
Scenario 1: Package not updating for a while and clearly not moving.
We have had a few of these where customers needed to wait anywhere between 1 week and 1 month. This does not happen often, but definitely too often that it makes this list. This normally happens to the First Class mail, but that's because First Class Mail is the most common mailing method. We have seen 1 or 2 priority class mail get delayed in the same way. If this happens, please let us know so we can figure out what's going on.
Scenario 2: Package is marked as delivered, but it's no where on your property.
This has happened too many times. Usually, it gets delivered to your nice neighbor who within 1-3 days will hand deliver that package to you or your mailbox. Nice people! OR, your package was accidentally marked as delivered, but it is actually still in the USPS truck. It just happens this way, no obvious reason how or why, but so far, in all of these cases, it was delivered in the mailbox within 1-2 days.
Scenario 3: International Packages.
We have found some international packages being delayed for 1 month and are still pending. We can only say sorry and please wait another 15 days to see what happens. Only shipping to Canada seems quite safe. We have shipped to Europe and to some parts of Asia. Most of Asia will expect at least 1 month for shipping, and Europe should expect roughly 3 weeks to 4 weeks. Issues usually arise with packages to Asia, but Europe has also seen some problems. Keep in contact with us, we have ways to fix it, but usually only after waiting long enough.
USPS is usually very reliable, but during this pandemic, USPS has issued a notice of delivery delays for the US and we assume that this is also for international packages.
If you have an issue with delivery, don't hesitate to contact us to let us know. We might be able to do something, or at least know what's going on. Your emails also help inform us of possible new situations that we can pass on to others and improve our customer service!
