Fabric Care - Washing, Drying, and Ironing
Love your fabric and your fabric will bring you joy forever. Fabrics weave color and flavor into our lives and when we give a little maintenance, the beauty doesn't dim.
Follow our tips on keeping our fabric in the best shape for as long as possible.
Cotton Poplin: Easy to wash and very forgiving fabric
- Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle.
- Hang Dry is ideal, but machine dry using low heat will be fine.
- Iron on reverse side at a medium to high temperature. Test on an
inconspicuous area first.
- Do not bleach.
Rayon Challis: Needs attention, moisture + heat on rayon causes high shrinkage
- Machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle. NEVER wash in warm or
higher temperature water. This will cause significant shrinking.
- Hang Dry is ideal, but machine dry using air-dry / air-fluff temperature will
work. NEVER dry Rayon of any sort on any heat setting. Even the lowest
heat is too much. Air-dry / Air-Fluff only. This will cause significant
shrinking, probably more than washing with warm water or hotter.
- Iron when dry on reverse side at a low to medium temperature. Test on an
inconspicuous area first.
- Do not bleach.
More fabrics to come in the future, when these fabrics arrive, we will update.
